The National Craft Center relocate and open from Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture from Tokyo in the summer of 2020! The first national museum on the Sea of Japan side is born
This summer, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo will relocate to Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and will be reopen as the National Museum of Modern Art.
The National Craft Museum is the only national art museum specializing in crafts in Japan.
Moving from Tokyo to Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture will create the first National Art Museum on the Sea of Japan side.
More than 1,900 works of arts and crafts will be relocated, including all works of members of the National Art Institute of Japan held by the current Crafts Museum.
The place is in the forest of culture around Kenrokuen,
In the same area are the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art, the Ishikawa Red Brick Museum, and the Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater.
It is a 30-minute drive from the hotel and we are looking forward to opening !
